April's Accounting Services started out as a home based business owned and operated by April Restelli. April has a diploma in Accounting and over a decade of experience in the field. She started her career as a receptionist while completing her co-op training in college, but quickly moved into a bookkeeping role. After completing her training, she worked in billing and receivables for a large plumbing company,  and as a settlement analyst for an international food company, before returning to public accounting. Preparing income tax returns and helping businesses with their bookkeeping is where she found her calling.


Although she loved what she was doing, she felt like she could be doing more to help her clients. So after twelve years in the accounting field, April decided to leave her position as Accounting Manager and venture off on her own.  Running the business from her home allowed her to keep the prices affordable for her clients, offer more flexible hours and availability, and maintain a more personal level of service. As a small business owner herself, she understands the pros and cons that come with owning your own business, as well as the fluctuating hours and constant time restraints. Although we have set hours, April often makes exceptions for those clients that cannot make it in during business hours due to their work/business schedules. She goes above and beyond to accommodate her clients to the best of her ability.


After three successful years on her own, the business grew beyond a one woman operation. In the fall of 2018, her sister Shanna joined the business, allowing them to continue to take on new income tax and business clients. Shanna has experience with income taxes and bookkeeping, as well as many years in the customer service industry. In the summer of 2019, the volume of tax clients caused us to outgrow the home office.  The business has since moved into a commercial office space, allowing us to expand and better accommodate our clientele. Although we are no longer a home-based business, we continue to strive to offer professional, personalized services in a warm and inviting environment - for the most affordable price possible.

Although we may not always be able to offer same day service, we can always guarantee consistent service. You always know when you arrive at our office, you will be greeted by a familiar face.  We do our best to get to know our clients so that we can better understand each persons situation and how best to help them. We take our time to ensure each file is completed properly and nothing is overlooked.

When setting our prices, the aim was to earn a living for ourselves, without gauging our clients to do so. We take into consideration the time it takes for us to complete the work, as well as comparable prices within the industry. Being part of an over-priced industry, we pride ourselves on our ability to offer rates at a fraction of our competitors prices.
